Online Application for Aerial Photography (AP)

1.2 Details of Aerial Photography (AP)

  1. Date of AP

  4. Purpose for having the AP
  5. Type and Callsign of Aircraft
  6. Helicopter's Company Name & Address
  7.  Declaration of aircraft flying over a congested area of a city, town or settlement, below a height of 1,500 feet above the highest object within 2,000 feet of the aircraft or whichever is the higher.
  8. Declaration of aircraft entering Changi or Seletar Control Zones
  9. A plan of specific area(s) of photography in jpg / gif format not exceeding 1MB must be attached.


2 TERM AND CONDITIONS

Please read the Terms and Conditions carefully before submitting the application.

2.1 This application shall be submitted at least seven (7) working days before the date of flight. CAAS will not entertain applications submitted less than the required number of days

2.2 The helicopter operator shall undertake to ensure that the AP flight is conducted in compliance with all operational requirements and conditions stated by CAAS. These may include, but not limited to, the following:

  1. The helicopter operator shall ensure that the operation of the helicopter is conducted in accordance with the provisions of the laws of Singapore, including but not limited to the Singapore Air Navigation Order (ANO), and any conditions as spelt out by CAAS and other government agencies.
  2. The helicopter operator shall be solely responsible for the safe operation of the helicopter. The helicopter operator shall take all necessary measures and precautions to ensure that the AP flight will not pose a hazard to air navigation and will not cause injury / death to persons and / or damage to properties.

  3. The helicopter pilot shall be thoroughly familiar with the aeronautical information published in the Singapore Aeronautical Information Publication (including air traffic control / communications procedures and established heli-routes).

  4. The helicopter operator shall identify adequate emergency landing sites around the area of AP flight operations and establish suitable procedures for their use, so as to ensure that the helicopter can land safely in an emergency without endangering people and property on the ground. 

2.3 The applicant shall indemnify and keep indemnified the CAAS against all proceedings, actions, claims and demands which may be taken or made against the CAAS and all losses, damages, costs or expenses incurred or payable by the CAAS as a result of death, injury or disability of any person or damage to property, occasioned, caused or contributed to by the applicant's Aerial Photography.

2.4 The applicant shall specify the height and route of intended flight. These details shall be included in a location map to be submitted together with the on-line application form.

2. For foreign registered aircraft, the applicant is required to obtain a flying permit from CAAS Air Transport Division prior to application for AP.

2.6 All flights are subjected to real time Air Traffic Control Clearance. Pilots shall expect delays and holdings.

3 CLEARANCE

3.2 Applicant is required to bring along the CAAS clearance and NRIC or Passport (for non-Singaporean) on the day of the flight.

3.3 Applicants are required to obtain the necessary security clearance.

4 BREACH OF CONDITIONS

In the event of any infringement of the terms and conditions herein, CAAS reserves the right to withhold and/or revoke its approval of the application.
